The Japanese Village is located in Ayutthaya, a province at about 65 km north of Bangkok.
To the locals, the Japanese Village is also known as Baan Ippun, which is a literal translation, with “baan” standing for village (or house) and “ippun” for Japan. In Japanese, it is called the Nihonmachi.
This is maybe the only place in Thailand where you can see a Shinto shrine. The shrine is pretty small but it serves its purpose well. It is mostly used by the in-house Japanese guide and the Japanese tourists who visit the place.

Are there any Shinto monks there?
