With the opening up of Myanmar and the transition from the military-led government to a more democratic one, more and more tourists are travelling to this Southeast Asian country (formerly known as Burma – a name still used by a few Western powers in their official documents). Not to mention that with the election of Aung San Suu Kyi in the Burmese parliament in 2012, there’s no internal boycott on travelling to Myanmar (as we saw during her long house arrest.)
